Hello! I am Isabelle Gray, the creator of Gray Rose Metals.

I have been fascinated with the process of making jewelry since I was a child. My mother kept a container filled with vintage jewelry, beads, string, and various tools that we would use to make bracelets, necklaces and other pieces. My designs became more intricate through the years, and I enjoyed experimenting with different mediums.

I took my first metalsmithing class in 2022 while attending Northern Michigan University in Marquette. We focused on jewelry making, and I soon fell in love with the process. I have been creating jewelry ever since, using sterling silver and natural stones.

My designs are rooted in the nature of Michigan, with the majority of my pieces inspired by the many insects that I have encountered and studied over the years, whether in my fathers’s garden, on the streambanks behind my grandparents’ home, or in the fields that surrounded my elementary school.

I am currently located in Marquette, MI, where I enjoy hiking in the woods, exploring the shores of Lake Superior, ans spending time with my friends and family.
